Back at the desk

Quick update, since it’s been a while.

Last year was a rough one on the health front. A bout with COVID, and its treatment, led to some follow-on issues. A surgical procedure meant to correct things only made them worse, and it took a few difficult months to get it under control. It’s managed with medication now, and I’m happy to say it’s firmly in the rearview mirror.

It did cost me momentum. Add a consulting engagement that was supposed to run three or four months and wrapped up after fourteen, and the writing slid. Getting it back has been slow. It’s less a wall than a fog: you know the story’s on the other side, you’re just not always sure you’re walking in the right direction.

But slow progress is still progress. I’m back at the desk working on The Gathering, Book 3 of the Genesis Renewed Saga, a few hundred honest words at a time.

The struggle is real. So is the story.
